Just like to share my good and bad experience with a Good/Bad car dealer located at the Upper Serangoon Shopping Center Singapore 534626
The car Dealer was so friendly and explained to us in detail the paper work procedure and what a waste to scrap such a good COE car in TIP-TOP condition.. and he provide two weeks of warranty on the Gear box, Air-con and Engine.......... and the car selling price was reasonable, we brought it.
On the day of the car collection, he advice me to top up the petrol immediately as the indicator was not accurate for old car. I was so shock as the petrol was almost empty, almost 43litres was needed for full tank when I top-up at the nearby petrol kiosk. (As I remember that when i test drive it two days ago, the level was at quater mark).
Problem come within the two weeks warranty::
On the fourth day, gear box started to give trouble, cannot engage during the move and it was scary and dangerous esp. when you making a turn.............. He settle this for me but I have to pay the tow charge....
3 days later, engine oil leak and I call back, but he don't want to settle this for me and ask me to go back to his mechanic to service this for me, which i didn't as I started to doubt his mechanic.
My mechanic check for me and said that by right they should warranty this for me as this is part of the engine, upon checking on the whole car condition, they found another problem at the petrol tank. A metal( suppose to be the partition inside the tank) came loose.
I was so angry and called him and he claimed that it is ok to drive as this won't cause explosion to the petrol tank. (ask yourself do you dare to drive this.....) A heated argument broke out.
I wanted to talk to his boss and he say no need and challege me to file a complaint/sue against him as this got nothing to do with his boss
When I called to his office to speak to his boss, Mr Kelvin.
As I told him the whole story, he say that if every customer was like me, then he will go burst.
When I told him that I choose to purchase a car from dearler over car owner due to the warranty that they can provide. He say no such thing and hint that I'm stupid and naive to think that they will fullfill the warranty. A deal already done then he say this " why I buy from him, I should go and buy from the car owner."
Below are the dialogue:
*-I ask him, are you going to warrant the oil leakage problem, and the tank issue?
*-He said that so long that the car can move even if the engine oil leak, it is not their problem, and claim that the tank is ok. And he even say that I should buy from owner instead of the dealer
*-So you want me to complaint in as what your staff had advice me earlier on isit.
*-Wah, you want to threaten me with this is it?
*-I say NO, it is your staff who advice me to do this.
*-He say that it would be better for me to engage a lawyer to sue him as he claimed that he got time to play with me.
***What can I do........sue him for the repaired?????
So buyer beware when you have no choice and got to deal with them.........
